Novel targets for skin health
Our aim
- We are looking for novel targets and concepts in the treatment of dermatological diseases
- Targets can be proteins or nucleic acids whose function can be modulated by a small molecule or biological therapy; which have a scientific rationale in a disease of interest, but which have not been necessarily validated in that indication
- Concepts can be mechanisms, pathways, or cell players not previously linked to a disease of interest

Your benefits
- Research grants from €25000 to €100000
- Funding to be granted at Almirall’s discretion
- Final amount will depend on the specific proposal and it may be provided in one or several installment
- Intellectual property rights with the applicant
- You will retain ownership of any intellectual property you may bring or develop
- Additional scientific support will be provided on an ad-hoc basis
- Mentorship by Almirall experts to advance the initial proposal to meet project criteria

Collaboration process
- Proposal submission
- The first step is for you to create an account on the AlmirallShare Innovation platform, which is a secure site to store and manage your proposals
- The call will be opened from October 8th, 2018 to February 28th, 2019
- Please include an outline of your idea (max. 300 words) and a detailed description of your proposal attaching documents/publications that support it
- All the initial information provided under the proposal should be non-confidential
- Proposal evaluation and selection
- A team of Almirall scientific experts will evaluate your proposal
- The evaluation process will be completed 8-10 weeks after the submission deadline
- After the evaluation period, you will receive Almirall’s decision on your proposal
- Start of collaboration
- If your proposal has been selected, the Shared Innovation team will help you with the collaboration agreement
- An Almirall scientist will be assigned to collaborate with you on project definition as well as project follow-up
